Videographer, editor, and documentary filmmaker

Former dancer and choreographer.

Christopher is a multidisciplinary filmmaker whose work explores the creative process across art forms. His documentary practice centres on artists at work, capturing the nuance, vulnerability, and evolution of making. His collaborations span projects with Carolyn Bolton, Chance to Dance/Royal Opera House, Liam Francis Dance Company (notably EARTH, VOICE, DANCE (2024) at Royal Opera House, A Body Of Rumours (2024) and Four Solos (2024); closely following the curation of a new eveing of work featuring a collaboration with the The Cunningham Trust), Jona Dance (notably Quicksilver and Reflections both in 2025), Jordan Hunt, and Jacob Wye/People On The Move.

Christopher’s feature-length and serial documentary projects include Inside the Vault (2024) and The Guests (2024) with renowned artist Christopher Bucklow; Boundless Body (2025), an eight-part series and feature with choreographer Elizabeth Arifien in collaboration with East Lonodn Dance, London College of Fashion and the Digital Body Festival; QUEER’D: Finding joy, outside of happiness (2025) with Miles Kearley/Dynamicaa; and Oracle Song with award-winning dance artist Jonathan Goddard, due for release next year.

In early 2025, The Guests was screened across North America by Christopher Blucklow in universities to accompany lectures about his work, Boundless Body was screened at the Centro Integrando de Cultura (CIC), Brazil, for dyslexia awareness week, and QUEER’D: Finding joy, outside of happiness had its first public screening at Avalon Cafe, London.

As a live performance videographer and trailer editor, Christopher has worked on numerous productions; find examples here. He has worked with Rambert Grades, filming and editing their Future Movers online course and new syllabi. He also worked as a camera operator and editor during the rehearsal process of Dizzy, the UK’s 2024 Eurovision entry performed by Olly Alexander under the creative direction of Theo Adams and BBC multicam director Nikki Parsons.

In the podcast space, Christopher edits Candid Convos with Jona Dance (2024-) and edits and films Deep Down with Jordan Hunt (2025-), which serve as art films and visual accompaniments to the podcast; all episodes for both podcasts are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.

His purely dance-film directing and editing credits include the feature-length dance film In Light of Those You Love (2019) for Retrospect Dance Theatre and the dance film series To the Ocean Floor (2021-2024) and The Three Visions (2022) in collaboration with composer Jordan Hunt. In music video work, he produced, filmed, and edited Circus of Desire (2023) for Grammy-nominated musician Olivia Chaney, Ocean Floor (2021) for Jordan Hunt, and served as assistant movement director to Masumi Saito on Love Lost for Alto Arc with Isamaya Ffrench.

Before focusing on filmmaking, Christopher was a dancer and choreographer. He was named Young Choreographer of the Year (2017) was a Young Associate Artist at Sadler’s Wells, creating works for both of the theatre’s stages, most notably To the Ocean Floor (2018) with long-term collaborator Jordan Hunt. Together, they have developed an extensive portfolio of works, including Within These Walls (2022-2023), danced by Royal Ballet principal Joseph Sissens. Christopher also co-founded Retrospect Dance Theatre (2017–2018), for which he performed and choreographed alongside Hannah McGlashon, including the company’s full-length work In Light of Those You Love (2019), which toured nationally and internationally before premiering in its film adaptation at Whirled Cinema, London in 2019.

Other notable dance experiences include: New Adventures (2019-2023), Mark Bruce Company (2017-2023), James Cousins, Arlene Philips, Rambert Dance Company, Arielle Smith, Gemma Payne Productions, Richard Chappell, Charlotte Edmonds, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Macintosh, Bill Kenwright, and Belfast Ensable. Christopher trained at White Lodge, The Royal Ballet School (2008-2013) and Rambert School (2013-2017) for his formative dance training.
